Doors and the Door Lights are a mechanic in The Return to Freddy's Classic.

Unlike in FNaF 1, the Doors are almost completely useless in-game. This is due to the fact that the doors are automatically closed at all times (due to them being severely damaged by Foxy, according to the Phone Guy) and the player only defends themself with the Freddy Mask instead. They're pretty much only there for aesthetic purposes. The Door Lights, however, can still be used, but there isn’t really any purpose to checking them anymore, due to the fact that the Animatronics appear in the middle of your office afterwards. In the original version of The Return to Freddy's Classic, known as Five Night's at Freddy's 3 Fanmade, the texture of the doors is the same as in the first Five Nights at Freddy's, and they can be opened and closed, but they are still useless and still start off closed. Closing or opening a door drains 1% of the power, making it useful if the player (for some reason) wants to run out of power.

The Door Locks are an important game mechanic in The Return to Freddy's 3 and are very different from how they were in The Return to Freddy's Classic.

Unlike in the 1st game, the doors are now a lot more important than they were before, and are one of the two main mechanics used to fend off the animatronics (the other being the Corrupt Signal). They can be closed through the monitor in some of the cameras (similiarly to the vents in FNaF 3) to prevent Lockjaw, Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie and Kitty FazCat from entering the player’s office. However, if the player has a door closed for too long, the Door Lock System will break, and all the doors will open. If this happens, the player must reboot the Door Lock System from the Signal Panel.
